The 2021 Trailblazer is a new Chevy SUV and is small enough to slip into tight parking places and weave around that double-parked delivery van. But it still has 54.5 cubic feet of space in the cargo area to stash your stuff and it has room for up to five passengers. The 60/40-split seats accommodate long items, so that pair of skis will fit perfectly. It comes in some eye-catching colors, too, with a two-tone roof and an athletic profile. Three driving modes are available for whatever mood you are in, and it even has enough punch to tow a small utility trailer.
The 2021 Trax is a compact two-row Chevy SUV with a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a choice between all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive. The Trax is very affordable and efficient to drive with a combined EPA rating of 25 mpg.* There is a lot of space for taking the kids to a museum or antique shopping on the weekends. The seven-speaker Bose® audio system lets you enjoy all of your favorite music and podcasts while an available 4G LTE® Wi-Fi hotspot keeps you connected while traveling.
*EPA-estimated 26 MPG city/31 highway (FWD models).
The two-row 2021 Equinox is a bit bigger, with 63.9 cubic feet of cargo space and a super convenient hands-free liftgate. An available heated, power-adjustable driver’s seat with eight positions makes for very comfy commutes. Other interior amenities include Active Noise Cancellation, interior mood lighting, and multiple USB charging ports and power outlets so your family will never run out of juice. The 1.5-liter turbo engine gets 26 mpg in the city and 31 on the open road, and the Equinox can tow up to 1,500 pounds.**
**EPA-estimated 26 MPG city/31 highway with 1.5L engine (FWD).
One of the best known of the Chevy SUVs, the mid-size 2021 Blazer is the last offering in the two-row SUV category. The Blazer offers 64.2 cubic feet of cargo room plus a customizable cargo management system including adjustable cargo partitions and a net to keep items from shifting and breaking. The 2.5-liter Ecotec engine is standard, but a 2.0-liter turbo and a 3.6-liter V6 are also available. The Blazer is rated to tow up to 4,500 pounds.
The first in the three-row category, the 2021 Traverse has room for eight passengers and plenty of gear. Smart Slide® second-row seating makes access easy and power-folding third-row seats open up 98.2 cubic feet of space in the back. Additionally, hidden storage compartments let you keep expensive electronics out of sight. The Traverse has a towing rating of 5,000 pounds, which is enough for a good-sized camper or boat, as well as a 310-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine that gives you plenty of power. Tackle extra challenging conditions with Chevrolet’s Traction Mode Select.
Space is the 2021 Tahoe’s hallmark. The third-row legroom has been increased by 40 percent, and there is a rear-seat entertainment system, too. With the seats down, the Tahoe offers 122.9 cubic feet of cargo space and an available Power Sliding Center Console adds storage between the seats. Choose between two engines: a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 and a powerhouse 6.2-liter V8. The Z71 off-road trim includes an air ride suspension for weekend adventures.
If you need space for the entire crew to ride in style, the Suburban is the best Chevy SUV for the job. The 2021 Chevrolet Suburban won the Best Large SUV for Families Award from U.S. News & World Report and a Car and Driver Editor’s Choice Award. The Suburban delivers 420 hp and 144.7 cubic feet of maximum cargo space, and still manages 20 mpg on the highway.*** Enjoy a 15-inch Head-Up Display and 10.2-inch infotainment touch screen.
***With 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 (L87) engine with Dynamic Fuel Management and Automatic Stop/Start. EPA-estimated MPG city/highway 15/20 (2WD), 14/19 (4WD).
