December 2nd, 2020 by

It goes without saying that the Chevy Silverado is one of the most powerful and beloved full-size pickup trucks on the road. With each new model year, the Silverado receives more updates and improvements, getting even better than it was before. The 2021 model year will be no exception. Read on for a quick look at some of the new updates coming to the latest Silverado.

One of the most exciting improvements you’ll find in the 2021 Silverado is the new Multi-Flex Tailgate, which offers six unique functions for drivers. Loading and unloading your Durabed will now be a thing of ease, thanks to multiple configurations and an increased weight capacity of 375 pounds.

Two of the Silverado’s most capable engines have also been updated for greater towing capacity. The 2.7-liter Turbo engine adds upwards of 2,500 pounds of trailering power, and the 3.0-liter Duramax® turbo-diesel adds up to 1,900 pounds.

Other updates to the 2021 Silverado 1500 include trailering tech like Trailer Length Indicator and Rear Trailer View, updates to the Custom Convenience Packages and Infotainment packages for certain trims, new color options, and much more.
